Summer Camp 2021

 

Registration is opened!

Since 2013 Saint-Laurent Soccer Club (STL) has been offering Summer, March and Winter break day camp services to our multicultural members and community ages between 4 to 15. The morning programs are focused on soccer-related activities and a variety of interesting and fun activities during the afternoons such as arts, crafts, assorted sporting games, swimming and more! Campers are grouped based on their, age, gender and soccer abilities. Beginners and existing soccer players will enjoy making new friendships while learning basic, fundamental and advanced soccer skills. Campers can expect a fun and supportive environment while learning and reaping a memorable experience!

Covid-19 procedure: After registering online parents are obligated to complete these two forms of Medical and Risk Recognition and return the completed forms on the first day of the soccer activity you registered.
Summer Camp Daily Program and Information

 

Active start program

4-5 years old

This program is specifically designed to cultivate your child’s love for the game and to further advance their overall co-ordination skills and motor development such as running, hopping, jumping, and more. Activities are delivered in a fun and safe environment filled with various games and exercises.

 

Fundamental

6 – 10 years old

Morning sessions are focused on the techniques and skills required by the individual player. These abilities will be developed through fun-filled activities and developmental soccer games. The afternoon sessions will focus on small-sided games and recreational activities.

 

Skills and Tactics

11-15 year old

Morning sessions focus on advanced individual techniques and skill development. A strong emphasis is placed on quality in this program and at a higher intensity. Afternoon sessions will focus on the individual as well as group tactics in small-sided games.

Locations

Signing in and signing out will be at the front entrance of the Saint-Laurent Sports Complex. The Parks Marcel-Laurin and Bourbonnière are the main parks the campers attend if the weather permits. In case of rain, the campers will remain indoors and enjoy the facilities the Saint-Laurent Sports Complex has to offer. Outdoor soccer and other activities are held at Marcel-Laurin Park and the swimming activities are at Bourbonniere Park. Parks and pool locations are subject to change.

Registrations 

Registrations are online only. After registering you will receive a confirmation by email within five business days. Please confirm your e-mail address is indicated correctly. Note: Medicare information is required upon registering. Registrations are based on a first-come basis.

 

Costs

One t-shirt per participant is included. Taxes included

Five days per week from Monday through Fridays – From 7:30 am – 5:00 pm

*Daycare service fee if applicable is payable during office hours before the registered week or during signing-in.

Signing-in and Signing-out

Signing-in and signing-out are held at the front entrance of the Sports Complex Saint-Laurent. Signing-in starts at 7h30 – 9h00 and signing-outs are from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

 

What To Bring Daily

Campers are required to bring their lunch and a knapsack with the following items: shin guards, soccer shoes with cleats, running shoes, shorts, headwear, sandals, bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, spare clothes, water bottle, medicare health insurance copy, life jacket, medication and EpiPen if necessary. All items require to be identified clearly with their names.

 

What Not To Bring Daily

Some children have life-threatening allergies to peanuts and nuts. No lunches or snacks containing nuts, peanuts and sesame nuts.  Lunches require to be 100% nut-free. No electronic devices or valuables.

 

Lunches and snacks

No refrigeration or microwaves are available during the day. A cold lunch including an ice pack or a hot lunch in a non-glass thermos including a water bottle and two snacks is recommended. For the safety of our campers with severe allergies, we ask you to provide your child lunches and snacks containing no nuts, peanuts or sesame.

 

Supervision and Ratios

5 – 15 years old 10 campers per counsellor, plus one assistant

 

Health & Safety

Any medication you authorize the camp to give to your child will require to be authorized by completing a form upon signing in. Campers with symptoms such as fever, coughing, vomiting contagious illness etc. are not admitted to the camp. If symptoms arise during camp hours you will be contacted and advised to obtain your child immediately. The swimming pools the campers participate in during the afternoons have certified lifeguards and are supervised by the camp councillors. The swimming pools have one separate small pool for toddlers up to 5-year-old children and one larger pool. For the camper’s safety, we ask all campers not to wear any form of jewelry items during their camp week such as earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, rings etc. Also, long hair requires to be secured and tied down.

 

Allergies

If your child has a severe allergy you are required to supply on your child’s first signing in day camp, two EpiPen’s identified with your child’s name. One for your child and one for the camp.

 

Refund – Credit Policy

No refunds are granted due to absenteeism, weather conditions, injuries, conflicts with other activities or moving to a different suburb, city, province or country. A $75.00 service fee per participant applies if a refund is accepted. Refunds require to be handwritten using the Refund Credit Policy Form supplied and submitted by e-mail or during office hours. Credit may apply if a refund is not accepted. Credits can be applied within one year towards a different program we offer.

 

Tax Receipts

Tax receipts are issued in January of the following year the payment was received. STL does not mail tax receipts. To receive the tax receipts for the Camps or the STL Soccer School (Academy) programs you will require to request your tax receipt by e-mail at info@soccerstl.ca indicating the participant’s name. In return, you will receive the tax receipt by e-mail within five business days. If the participant was also registered in the recreational or competitive league in the same year a second tax receipt is required. Tax receipts for the recreational and competitive leagues are available online at www.soccerstl.ca
