Soccer EDS Description

 

From beginners to experienced players the Soccer School EDS is a training program to teach players the fundamentals and advanced soccer skills in a fun, experienced, and safe environment for ages 4-16.

 

Starting with the 4-5 years introduction to the soccer program. This program is specifically designed to cultivate your child’s love for the game and to further advance their overall coordination skills and motor development such as running, hopping, jumping, and various fun games and exercises. The Fundamental 6–10 years old program is focused on the techniques and skills required by the individual player. These abilities will be developed through fun-filled activities and developmental small-sided games and regular-sided soccer games. Following with the Skills and Tactics 11–16-year-old program. This program is focused on advanced individual techniques and skill development. A strong emphasis is placed on quality in this program at a higher intensity and individual tactic development in small-sided games.

 

Where to register

Online & in-person registrations are available.  After registering you will receive a confirmation by email within five business days. In-person registrations are available during office hours only. Preregistering in advance is recommended in order to guarantee a spot. Participants’ pictures and Saint-Laurent Recreation Cards (carte de loisirs) are not required. All Montreal residents are welcome to register regardless of boroughs. Medicare Insurance is required upon registering.

 

Having trouble registering online

How to apply your credit during registration

In-person registration during office hours is required in order to apply a credit towards registering. Proof of credit is required before registering.

No discounts are issued for registering siblings.

Interior- Saint-Laurent Sports Complex, 2405 Thimens, St-Laurent, Qc, H4R 1T4 or exterior at Marcel Laurin Park.

 

Is the soccer uniform included in the registration fee?

Included are one jersey, one pair of shorts, and one pair of soccer socks for each participant. One uniform is supplied during the yearly schedule and uniforms are disturbed 30 minutes before the first session of each course. Participants are required to supply the soccer shoes with cleats and shin guards which are mandatory for each session.

 

What to purchase? Not included in the registration fee

The participants are required to supply soccer shoes, shin guards, and a water bottle.  Exterior soccer shoes with cleats are required for playing on grass and indoor soccer shoes on artificial turf or exterior soccer shoes on grass are permitted in the St-Laurent Soccer Complex  Running shoes are not permitted on grass or artificial turf.

 

 

Communications 

EDS Soccer School’s primary communication is through e-mails and the website. View your e-mails and EDS website page frequently for changes, cancellations, and updated news. Clearly indicate your correct e-mail address during online or in-person registrations.

 

How do I know which category? U?

To determine the correct age category you subtract the present year from the year of birth of the player. Example: The present year is 2012 minus the player’s year of birth 2012 is U8, regardless of the month the player was born.

 

Attending the first session

Participants are advised to arrive 30 minutes before their first session in order to receive their uniform and change into their uniforms including their soccer shoes with cleats and shin guards. Dressing rooms supplied.

 

Cancellations within the club (exterior or interior)

Cancellations within the club may occur during the course and are rescheduled at a later date. Notifications concerning cancellations and rescheduled dates will be advised by e-mail and posted on the website at www.soccerstl.ca

 

Cancellations due to weather (exterior fields)

Cancellations due to weather conditions are not rescheduled. Notifications concerning cancellations will be advised by e-mail and posted on the website at www.soccerstl.ca

 

Health

Participants with symptoms such as fever, coughing, vomiting contagious illness, etc. are not permitted to participate in their session.

 

Safety

Soccer shoes with cleats and shin guards are mandatory for each session. In order to avoid injuries, participants will not be permitted to attend their sessions if they don’t have their soccer shoes or shin guards. Single knotted shoelaces tend to undo rather quickly during training therefore, we recommend the participants or parents to double knot the laces. No jewelry is permitted, long hair requires to be tied.

 

Refund – Credit Policy

No refunds are granted due to absenteeism, weather conditions, injuries, conflicts with other activities, isolation, or moving to a different suburb, city, province, or country. $75.00 service refund fee per participant, minus the $30.00 uniform fee and the sessions attended applies if a refund is accepted. Cancellations fees are $75.00 per participant. Credit notes may apply if a refund is not accepted.  Refunds are issued by cheque and mailed within 8 weeks.
